Welcome to
a new year of Dance Competition Madness! 2008 is going to be the
best year for Steel Envisions. Even with the "new" ban on
all photography from Primetime and Showbiz Competitions, we will
still get the best quality photos that we have been known to
produce. The only downside are the rules will affect our
Nationals since it is with Showbiz.
Any event venue not allowing
cameras of any type are going to only enrage the parents of the
children dancing. Most people will not be supportive of
having to pay large amounts of money to get photos from a event
that is only trying to increase their bottom line.
As a parent I urge other parents
who choose to take pictures of their children, to send a letter
to the FDC (Federation
of Dancers) of the event holders and fight the rule below
which is listed in the Rules and Regulations for 2008.
"Cameras of any kind are
strictly prohibited during a performance. By entering a
Showbiz Competition, you release your performance for video and
photographic reproduction." |
